Catholic Community Services in Yuma celebrated their 7th annual Toast to Hope event, reminding the community that "there is always a place for hope."
Those gathered enjoyed highlights of CCS-Yuma's programs and services, as well as the impact of support received over the past year.
CCS offered a special recognition and blessing to CEO Peg Harmon on her upcoming retirement after serving CCS for the past 45 years. Howard Gwynn was also recognized for over 25 years of service to CCS-Yuma, with most of that time as chair of their advisory board.
The auction lasted over two hours and raised $33,965, including matched funds from their Christmas ornament fundraiser. Four donors matched the high bid for the 1st ornament, raising $8,400 for CCS-Yuma as part of the event. With over 380 people in attendance, $66,100 was raised in sponsorships and tickets, totalling a gross amoung of $100,065.
Guests danced the night away and concluded with a "Toast to Hope"!
