March 30, 2023Fr. Madhu George celebrated his 25th anniversary of priestly ordination on February 20, 2023. Born in Muttar, Kerala, India, Fr. George was ordained on February 20, 1998 at St. George, Muttar, Kerala in the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. Fr. George came to the Diocese of Tucson in 2014 where he served as Parochial Vicar at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church until 2016. While in Tucson, he also jointly assisted in hospital ministry at the University of Arizona Medical Center. Since August of 2016, Fr. George is currently serving as the Pastor of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Arizona.
Fr. George is known for his most reverent consecrations and offerings of the Liturgy of the Eucharist in the Holy Mass, and unceasingly works to bring many retreats, study and fellowship opportunities for parishioners to come together to know Christ while serving one another.
Fr. George had a great teacher as a seminarian, while he worked in India with St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta.
On February 18th, during Our Lady’s Parish Appreciation Dinner, Fr. George was surprised with recognition of his 25th Anniversary of Ordination; our humble and dear priest who wants no recognition for himself, but would rather serve his people.
