On the first Thursday of each month, men of all ages gather outside St. Augustine Cathedral. Their purpose? To pray the Rosary in front of the Blessed Sacrament for an increase of Vocations to the priesthood.
They gather under the floral bandshell in Msgr. Carrillo Placita, which is visible to passers-by in downtown Tucson. From 7 to 8pm, they pray the Rosary in English and Spanish, sing praise, and ask the Holy Spirit to cultivate Vocations in our community.
Cathedral Rector and Pastor, Fr. Alan Valencia, started this special Holy Hour in October and has been met with increasing support and attendance. In November, 38 men gathered in fraternal and reverent prayer.
Men are invited to attend this prayer event on the first Thursday of each month. The next one will be held on Thursday, January 5 at 7pm.
