Five priests across the Diocese of Tucson will begin new assignments on March 1, 2023.
Fr. Arnold Aurillo has served as the Pastor at Our Mother of Sorrows Paish in Tucson for the past three and a half years. He will be returning to his native Phillipines to attend to personal and family matters. "I am very grateful to Fr. Aurillo," said Bishop Weisenburger, "for his years of generous service to the people of our Diocese. The good deeds he has undertaken during his tenure are substantial and his good impact on OMOS will remain."
Fr. George Holley will become the new Pastor at Our Mother of Sorows Parish. Fr. George has been serving as the Pastor of St. John Neumann Parish in Yuma. "Fr. Holley has been very much loved at St. John Neumann," said Bishop Weisenburger. "His experience and abilities will continue to serve our community at OMOS."
Fr. John Gonzales has been serving as the Associate Pastor at OMOS and will now become the new Pastor at St. John Neumann in Yuma. "Fr. Gonzales has witnessed priestly zeal, concern for souls, and competence," said Bishop Weisenburger. "The time for him to be promoted to a higher task is now."
Fr. Justin Agbir will join OMOS in March. He has been serving as the Parochial Vicar at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Tucson. "Fr. Agbir has served lovingly and with distinction at Sts. Peter and Paul," said Bishop Weisenburger.
Fr. Jude Agada has been serving as the Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Grace Parish in Maricopa, AZ. He will be going to St. Joseph Parish in Wellton, AZ. Fr. Jude will begin his new assignment in mid-February.
