Saint Cyril Elementary School opened its doors for the first time in September of 1952 with three Holy Cross Sisters serving as teachers and 147 students attending. When we begin this school year for our 70th year on August 10, 2022, we will have 60 faculty and staff, and 363 students.
The last 70 years have seen major developments - from moving to an entire lay teaching staff in 1976, to adding an after-school program in 1985, to connecting to the internet in 1996, and of course, virtual teaching throughout the pandemic beginning in March 2020.
Despite the many changes to the school and our greater Tucson community, our dedication to education and spirituality awareness has not waivered. We invite you to join us at one of our celebrations throughout this year.
Join us in celebration of 70 years and growing! We will offer our students, faculty and staff past and present, alumni, and friends opportunities to celebrate with us for the entirety of our school year. “Our Community in Unity” will serve as our guiding principle this year.
Alumni and friends can add their contact information to our website using the form on the home page. We look forward to celebrating with you soon!
