By designating the Third Sunday of Ordinary Time as “the Sunday of the Word of God,” Pope Francis recognizes the importance of Scripture for our life of faith, our experience of liturgy, and our sense of community. But how are we as faithful Catholics to read the bible so that it becomes for us a true source of strength and inspiration? This presentation will outline the distinguishing features of a Catholic interpretation of Scripture and suggest how we might more regularly engage the Word of God in our everyday lives.
