Chrism Mass during Holy Week

"We will celebrate the Mass of the Holy Oils, oftentimes referred to as the “Chrism Mass,” on Monday of Holy Week.  The pandemic prevented us from opening this Mass to the public in 2020 and 2021.  This year I’m so very pleased to invite people from our parishes to attend this liturgy at which the oils used in Baptism, Confirmation, Ordination to the Priesthood and the Anointing of the Sick are blessed and distributed for use throughout the Diocese.  It also is the occasion to have our priests renew the promises they made at their priestly ordination. Please join us on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral for the Mass of the Holy Oils."
