Date and Time: Saturday, January 9 from 8:30am to 11:00am (MT) / 9:30 to 12:00pm (CT) This workshop will be offered online via Zoom. In reflection on the significance of the psalms, Pope Francis has reflected, “The psalms are not texts created on paper, but rather they are invocations, often dramatic, that spring from lived existence.” In this online retreat, Bro. Silas Henderson, SDS, will explore the significance of the psalms in Christian prayer and how these ancient hymns, laments, and prayers provide insights into our own experiences of grief, anger, trust, hope, and praise. As we enter into the first span of Ordinary Time in this liturgical year, this retreat will be a wonderful opportunity to listen to, reflect on, and pray in new ways with these songs of our salvation. This retreat may be used for Ministry Certification Renewal Credits in the areas of “Spirituality” or “Sacred Scripture.” The cost for the workshop is $20.00. To session will be held via ZOOM (the required link and any additional materials will be emailed to registered participants before the session); please register on or before January 8.
