Why is my loved one with mental illness not getting better?
The Santa Catalina Mental Health Ministry is hosting an expert panel discussion called “Understanding the Levels of Psychiatric Care is Key to Treatment Success.” The discussion will be held on January 21 from 1 - 3 PM OR January 29 from 6 - 8 PM. The same program will be repeated twice, so feel free to attend the one that fits your schedule. The program will be in the Parish Center of Santa Catalina Catholic Church at 14380 N. Oracle Rd.
The people with the most information about the patient, the family, do not always know or understand the different levels of care available to help their loved one. Therefore, their experience is one of helplessness and hopelessness. We will explore the different levels of psychiatric care available that may help families navigating these difficult situations. We hope those attending this panel discussion will gain understanding of the different levels of mental health care.
The following presenters will be part of the panel:
Inpatient Level of Care: Stephanie Maanum, Sonora Behavioral Hospital
Residential Level of Care: Jeff Corbett, Sierra Tucson
Partial Hospitalization Program PHP/ Intensive Outpatient Program IOP Levels of Care: Sarah Leiner, Sonora Behavioral Health
