St. Thomas the Apostle Parish's Vacation Bible School this summer from June 27 - July 1 is planned for children in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.
This year's theme - Rocky Railway - Jesus' Power Pulls Us Through - is intended to engage children and encourage them in their Catholic faith through a combination of fun and learning. Each day the children will experience Bible stories, participate in simple science projects, enjoy snacks, play great games and - through it all - discover God's promise and His life-saving love!
There will be several VBS activities each day (including Snacks, Crafts, Games, Storytelling, and Music). Small groups of participants will travel through the activities with their respective Teacher/Guide.
VBS session times: 9:00 AM - NOON daily
Cost per child: $50 - represents $10 a day which covers take-homes and snacks.
VBS capacity: 75 (first come; first served)

We still seek additional committed adult volunteers. Fact is, many are necessary. Only if we have sufficient adult volunteers to sign up for the available positions by May 15, will our parish be able to offer VBS this summer. A volunteer who signs up for a specific activity will remain with that station. A volunteer who signs up to be a teacher/guide will accompany his/her assigned group through each activity daily.
The volunteer VBS roles needed are:
Sign In Table
Sing + Play Express
Imagination Station
Bible Adventures
Locomotion Games
Kidvid Cinema
K - 5 Crew Guides
Chew Chew Snacks
Decor Team Member
