World Day of the Sick Mass with Bishop Weisenburger

The Order of Malta has provided this Mass for approximately 8 years! At the Mass, petitions will be collected from attendees. Those petitions are then flown with the Order on the charter flight--- when they take approximately 60 sick (malades) and 60 of their caregivers for an 8 day pilgrimage to Lourdes. The Order of Malta has done this for 59 years. At the Mass, they will also pass out Lourdes water that they bring back from the grotto from the prior year. Their medical team consists of 35 MDS and 8 Nurses. Specialists are Knights and Dames of Malta who practice medicine at Stanford, City of Hope, UCLA, UC San Diego, Columbia, Harvard and several other academic medical centers.
