We need a few good men. You've likely heard this before, but this time it rings true. The world is changing, however our faith as Catholics remains steadfast. I, along with the Knights of Columbus throughout the Diocese of Tucson cordially invite Catholic men to join us on Saturday, November 4th at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Tucson for the annual Tucson Catholic Men's Conference.
This will be my fourth year attending the conference. My past experiences have been very fruitful. I first went with my dad, brothers, and grandfather. The conference is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow Catholic men who desire to grow in their faith. There are opportunities for confession as well as a group Rosary. The day will also include a lunch and Mass celebrated by Bishop Edward Weisenburger.
The main highlight of the conference is always the speakers. Every year we have the chance to hear from amazing world-renowned Catholic speakers who present the faith in a challenging but inspiring way, always calling the faithful men to a higher standard. This standard is focused on carrying out their role as men and leaders within their families and communities. This year will feature speakers Tim Staples and Michael Gormley.
The most impactful aspect for me is the ability to invite and go with young Catholic men my age. Last year there was a significant group from both the Newman Center on the U of A campus and representatives from The Catholic University of America Tucson Program. Seeing these men my age praying and growing in community together was inspiring. I highly encourage all high school and college-aged Catholic men to attend the conference this year. It will be worth the time spent to grow closer to the men around you, and most importantly grow closer in your relationship with Jesus. We also pray that it will help foster a deeper commitment to your faith and parish community.
The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. It will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Saturday, November 4. Registration is at https://tucsonmensconference2023.rsvpify.com/.
I ask that you prayerfully consider attending and supporting just one of the many ways the Diocese of Tucson is growing the faith.
