February 17, 2023Lent challenges us to see conversion in our lives as a daily process. Our relationship with creation is one dimension of this overall personal conversion. Pope Francis describes it this way: “We must examine our lives and acknowledge the ways in which we have harmed God’s creation through our actions and our failure to act. We need to experience a conversion, or change of heart."
Developed by local Catholic, parishioner at Our Mother of Sorrows in Tucson, and national Catholic Climate Ambassador, Dr. Katie Hirschboeck, this lenten calendar is designed to accompany you on a 40-day journey in 2023 of prayer, learning, action, and advocacy toward this ‘ecological conversion’ of caring for “Our Common Home” and opening our hearts to the “Cry of the Earth and the Cry of the Poor.”
