25 Catholic School Principals honored with SEAS Award

The Diocese of Tucson's Department of Catholic Schools awarded the 2021 Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Award to all of the Catholic School Principals who served in the Diocese of Tucson during the 2020-2021 school year. The full list of principals is below.

The Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Award is presented each year to an honoree who has demonstrated a history of dedicated service, support, and leadership in Catholic education within the Diocese of Tucson. This tradition began 42 years ago by Salpointe Catholic High School. In 2018, Salpointe asked the Department of Catholic Schools to assume the tradtion.

Superintendent of Schools, Sheri Dahl, shared, "Principals in our diocese were recognized with this honor because of the tireless and dedicated work they did in order to keep their students, faculty, and staff safe and learning. Being a principal is, in my opinion, one of the hardest jobs in education, let alone during the Covid-19 pandemic. Even with the long history of school leadership we have in our Catholic schools, I think our principals would agree that the last couple years as principal have been the most challenging couple years in their career!"

Dr. Dynse Crunkleton was nominated for the 2021 award, however, she respectfully requested that the principals receive the award. Dr. Crunkleton will be awarded the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton honor next February 18, 2023.
