Our Catholic schools across the diocese have begun fall classes online the past couple weeks and are ready to open their campuses to students as local and state health deems it safe. Schools are using different types of video conferencing platforms to allow teachers to engage students in remote learning lessons. All principals “Zoomed in” to a meeting on August 18 to discuss professional development, assessments, accreditation, and health guidelines for safely reopening campuses. The highlight was sharing of “silver linings” in the midst of this unprecedented challenge.
As one principal shared,
“Our teachers have a routine of gathering for a pep-rally type cheer after teaching all day”.
Let us join them in cheering on our school heroes as they continue to bravely navigate the unchartered waters of online teaching and learning!
