For students considering college, it can seem an unattainable dream, and an impractical one. Moving far from family and racking up tens of thousands of dollars in debt, only to graduate with few skills that actually matter in the job market doesn’t seem like a winning plan.
That’s why The Catholic University of America launched an innovative program together with Pima Community College in Tucson to help students study close to home, and to gain the valuable business skills they need to succeed.
Our innovative, experiential business program, designed by Catholic University faculty, makes it possible to earn a bachelor's degree without leaving Southern Arizona. It’s affordable, and it’s faithfully Catholic.
Faculty experts support and guide students in their ambition to build successful businesses, while grounding efforts in sound ethics and moral values. Students explore the ‘why’ of business and what it means and how to truly achieve excellence or success.
Students jointly enroll at Catholic University and Pima Community College for the freshman and sophomore years, taking courses at both institutions. As juniors and seniors, students enroll solely at Catholic University, earning a B.A. in Management upon completion.
Students apply course knowledge in guaranteed internships, enabling them to reflect on the practical application of management principles as they develop personally, professionally, and spiritually.
The expansion in the Tucson area represents the ongoing commitment the University has to increase access to its programs. The University has worked with over 300 members of the community to customize this program for Tucson.
The University has also formed a local employer network to help students gain real life experience, access mentorship opportunities and increase access to potential jobs upon graduation.
We pray for our students' success and invite you to join us in making the Tucson campus a vibrant part of the community.
