Rev. Walter Balduck, died on 19 March at the age of 85, following a battle with cancer.
"Wally" was born on 21 Aug 1935, the son of William and Ann Marie (nee Murphy) Balduck, in Detroit MI. He was invested in the Capuchin habit in 1966, perpetually professed in 1971, and ordained a priest in 1973.
Wally served in pastoral ministry in Milwaukee WI, Colstrip MT, Tucson AZ, and Saginaw MI. He also served in Central America (Nicaragua and Panama) from 1983-1990. He served as pastor in Mammoth, Arizona in 2015 until retirement. Wally is survived by one brother and four sisters, as well as his many Capuchin brothers with whom he lived, prayed and ministered
for over 50 years.
A public memorial liturgy for family, friends and friars will take place at 10:30am on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the St. Bonaventure Monastery, 1740 Mt. Elliott St., Detroit, MI 48207.

Capuchin Friars and his friends in the Diocese of Tucson are asked to set aside a day on which Fr. Walter Balduck will be remembered in prayer.
