You are invited to Rome, the heart of our faith, for the 2025 Jubilee! A Jubilee Year, called for in the Bible, is a time of special rejoicing marked by forgiveness and is meant to be a culmination of a year for God’s glory. This pilgrimage is a gift of mercy that God is inviting us to take part in.
Accompanied by Bishop Gerald Kicanas, we will walk in the footsteps of Saint Peter, Saint Paul, and the martyrs, gaining wisdom from their unwavering faith and dedication. We will experience the opening of the Holy Doors, an event that happens every 25 years during times of jubilee. Additionally, each pilgrim we encounter along the way enriches our own journey, reminding us that we are part of a larger, faith-filled community.
This pilgrimage is an opportunity to see and experience the reality of Christ’s church, a profound spiritual quest reflecting our desire to grow closer to God and to renew our commitment to living a holy life. As we traverse the holy sites, we are called to seek forgiveness and renew our commitment to the teachings of Jesus. We will not only seek personal renewal but also contribute to the spiritual growth of our community. Our shared experiences and prayers strengthen the bonds that unite us, making us a living testament to God’s love and mercy.
God has a way of bringing His people together. By journeying together, we demonstrate our collective commitment to a life of holiness and our dedication to supporting one another in our faith. I urge you to pray on this calling to pilgrimage to Rome. Let us embrace this opportunity to transform our hearts and minds, to cleanse our souls, and to open our hearts to Him, allowing ourselves to be His instruments for the good of our families and our community.
May God’s grace guide us on this sacred journey and fill our hearts with His everlasting love.
