Mark Person, the program manager for the Pima County Health Department has been working to combat the opioid crisis throughout the county. In recent years however, he says it's been a shock seeing overdose deaths skyrocketing. This data reveils another record breaking and disturbing discovery that the leading cause of deaths among teens is fentanyl overdose. Person shares how, as a community, we can combat this crisis through the Community Mental Health and Addiction program and it's providers.
Leaders from the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Tucson took the program in Fall 2021 in hopes of helping spread the awareness.
