Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
I was deeply moved when I read the attached words of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, provided in both English and Spanish. His grasp of the challenges our world faces today, as well as the challenges each of us faces within our hearts and souls, is profound. His encouragement and spiritual guidance in these documents set the perfect tone for us as we begin to consider the coming season of Lent. I strongly encourage all the faithful to give focused attention to his brief but powerful words.
