Our novice, Sr. Sharon, will be making her first profession of monastic vows on the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, March 25!
Sharon Bezner entered our monastery on March 24, 2019 to begin her postulancy. On March 25, 2020, she was clothed in the Cistercian habit and began her two-year novitiate.
Now she is ready for the next phase of monastic formation: the juniorate, a period of five years in temporary vows.
Sr. Sharon will be on retreat from March 17-23. Please join us in prayer for our beloved sister as she prepares to give herself more deeply to Jesus and to the community though monastic profession.

Santa Rita Abbey is a Cistercian monastery, a school of charity and of the Lord’s service. We follow the Rule of St. Benedict with its balance of prayer, work and sacred reading shared in a monastic community.
We were founded in 1972 in the high desert of Southern Arizona, a land of wide vistas and large sky where our monastery nestles in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains near Sonoita, AZ.
