Quality First works with child care and preschool providers across Arizona to improve the quality of their early learning settings. In April, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Preschool in Casa Grande, AZ, received another 5-Star rating from Quality First/First Things First!
A 5-Star rating means that the program "Far Exceeds Quality Standards" in areas such as Health and Safety Practices, Staff Qualifications, Teacher-Child Interactions, Learning Environments, Group Sizes, and Communication with Parents.
Mrs. Rodarte, Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Teacher stated, "We connect with our students on a level that supports social-emotional growth, academic progression, and cognitive development. We truly provide the best learning environment possible in and out of the classroom."
Mr. Lazar, Director/Principal remarked, "We were very excited and honored to receive the 5-Star rating two assessment cycles in a row. This was due to the dedication and hard work of our preschool staff, Mrs. Rodarte, Mrs. Medel, and Mrs. Koerth, along with the nurturing environment they provide each day for our students. In addition, our parents have been very supportive of our program."
Superintendent of Schools, Sheri Dahl, shares her enthusiasm and congratulations! "I am so very proud of the work St. Anthony of Padua does in the formation of their students," she said. "Receiving a 5-Star rating from Quality First/First Things First is not an easy feat. Yet, St. Anthony Preschool has received this top rating two cycles in a row! Congratulations to principal, Randy Lazar, and his faculty and staff for providing a top-quality preschool program."
