Patronato’s “Christmas at San Xavier” returns for December 2022 after a three-year absence caused by the pandemic. Often described as the official start to Southern Arizona’s holiday season, this series of candle-lit concerts held within the historic Mission Church has been a favorite for people from Southern Arizona and beyond for over 25 years.
The concert series was developed by Patronato San Xavier, the not-for-profit corporation which for four decades has stewarded conservation work at the Mission. More than just a beautiful evening of traditional Christmas music in a unique setting, the concerts have raised 4 million dollars across the last 25 years to fund major conservation projects.
This year, the focus will be on Tucson’s youth choirs. Two sections each from both the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus and Tucson Girls Chorus will perform.
Tuesday, December 6 at 6pm and 7:45pm
Wednesday, December 7 at 6pm and 7:45pm
With a reduced number of performances this year, tickets are selling fast. However good seats remain at both the Tuesday and Wednesday 7:45 pm performances.
