Vatican II and the New Evangelization

https://www.wordonfire.org/vatican-ii-faq/Vatican II was opened under Pope St. John XXIII on October 11, 1962, and closed under Pope St. Paul VI on December 8, 1965. The Council culminated in sixteen documents promulgated by Pope St. Paul VI, including four central “constitutions”:

• Dei Verbum (Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation)
• Lumen Gentium (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church)
• Sacrosanctum Concilium (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy)
• Gaudium et Spes (Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World)
