January 7, 2025By New OutlookEvery January hundreds of people walk through the streets of Tucson in support of life. The message is simple: life matters. This year, like all others, the Diocese of Tucson cordially invites you to participate. Our day begins in prayer with Mass at Saint Augustine Cathedral at 9 a.m. It’s celebrated by our bishop Most Reverend Edward J. Weisenburger. Immediately following Mass we’ll walk to Holy Hope Cemetery for the Rose Ceremony. It’s a touching tribute to honor the millions of innocent lives lost to abortion.As Catholics our faith teaches us that life is precious from the moment of conception to natural death. Our diocese is fortunate to have an abundance of faith-based resources including a spokesperson for Life Issues, Ana Sanguineti, M.D., who has written extensively and thoughtfully on the issue.
